GCSE Results Print E-mail

We are very proud of our excellent results at GCSE. They are the result of very high quality teaching, an outstanding commitment by staff in terms of nurturing and supporting students, the hard work and good revision techniques of students and the wealth of support given by parents/carers and the wider community.

GCSE results at Aylsham High School have shown an upward trend over recent years.  In 2008, 66% of the students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE, including English and Mathematics.  In comparison, the Norfolk average was 48% and the school was ranked 4th highest local authority school in the county. Results in English Language - 75% 5 A*-C’s compared very well to the national figure of 66% and Mathematics results – 87% 5 A*-C’s was superb in comparison to the national figure of 62%.

The school is particularly proud of its ability to enable all students, whatever their ability, to make good progress, proven by 95% of students achieving 5 or more A*-G grades.
