Year 7 meet Charlie Higson.

Year 7 meet Charlie Higson.

On the Friday 8th of April, just over one hundred year 7 students walked to the Jubilee Centre in Aylsham to listen to a talk by Charlie Higson.

Mr Higson talked about his new book ‘The Dead’   This book is the second in a series of books to be written about Mothers and Fathers who are all zombies and small groups of children trying to survive.  Everyone over the age of 14 has contracted the ‘Zombie Plague’, hence the zombie outbreak, really scary.

We watched a short trailer, the first Chapter of ‘The Dead’, of  a small boy, on U Tube, sending out a message, asking for help.  He is the last one alive and is trapped inside his home with the Mothers and Fathers trying to get to him.  WOW!

We have posted our individual comments below:

I thought Charlie Higson was great.  Some of the book sounded very disturbing but very exciting at the same time.

Max Byrnes

The book begins with a small boy being kidnapped by the Mothers and Fathers who had become Zombies through some sort of plague. Scary!

Joel Lodge

I thought the visit was fun and Charlie Higson was Hilarious.  I will be reading more of his books.

Luke Wooldridge

Charlie Higsons book ‘The Dead’ seems very different to many other books, because he really wants to scare you.

Hannah Richards

Charlie Higsons first book of this series ‘The Enemy’ begins immediately you start reading.  I will definitely be recommending to others.
