Year 9 Sports Ambassadors visit to the Olympic Village

A recent trip to the Olympic village with 5 of our year 9 students was a great success!!  We have appointed 6 Sports Ambassadors from year 9 who have been commissioned with the task of promoting the London olympics and paralympics in our schools over the next year and share the legacy it will leave us after the Olympic games.

We were given talks and workshops on the Olympic build, the size of each stadium, the transport issues, people involved.  Also we were shown what will happen to the Olympic park after the games are over!

In addition, we were treated to a bike ride along the canal weaving around the park!!
