Students awarded Chief Scouts Gold Award.

Many congratulations to seven of our students from the 1st Buxton Lamas Sea Scouts Group, who have received the Chief Scouts Gold Award.
This is the highest award that can be awarded in the Scout section and is achieved by completing a series of challenges from different areas of the scouting programme. The final challenge was completed in March, through a 30 mile expedition which they had organised themselves.
Everyone at the 1st Buxton Lamas Group is extremely proud of what the young people have achieved which has taken several years. They have all shown great dedication to the scouting movement and to themselves.
This is another example of how hard young people work and how determined they are to achieve at the highest level. It is also a further example of the many organisations and opportunities that are open to our students through the hard work of adults in the community, who give so much time voluntarily for the benefit of others.
Well done to everyone involved, we are very proud of your achievements.
