Year 11 Prom Fashion Show

During the Spring term, Year 11s have been preparing for their up-coming GCSE examinations, but also auditioning, and presenting a wonderfully glamorous Prom Fashion Show, to raise funds for their Prom at Wolterton Hall on 30th June. The auditions began in February, when 27 girls & 12 boys were selected & trained by a model from the Sandra Reynolds Agency. Alongside them, a team of Years 8 - 10s began preparations behind the scenes, taking photographs, producing a DVD, booking businesses for the Business Auditorium, promoting the event & selling tickets. Our own AHS Salon Services students were responsible for the fabulous hair styles & make-up.
The Show was opened by our Solo Dancer, Year 10 pupil Shaun Taylor, with a brilliant tap number, which he followed later in the Show with a ballet number to ‘Les Nuits’, dancing amongst our lovely models. Our other Year 10 Dancers also provided our audience with stylish & exciting visual delights, with their numbers.
The first half of the Show was Prom wear provided by Essence of North Walsham, and after the interval, we saw collections from Blossom & Green, Horatio Menswear & Catwalk Fashions. The entire evening was delivered with style, grace, energy and a sense of fun and the audience of almost 300 were extremely appreciative. Huge thanks & congratulations to everyone who took part or supported us in whatever way, and in particular, to our amazing ‘Class of 2012’ for looking so totally wonderful and raising £1429 for the Prom. We wish them all every success in their futures.
