Annabel Gray is carrying on with her passion and interest in cooking competitions, whilst in preparation for starting her Catering Course at City College, Norwich in September.
Having spotted her talent at this year’s Springboard Future Chef Heats, CCN Chef-Lecturer Nigel Crane approached her with another competition. Here is Annabel’s account:
‘I have been selected out of 100s of entries for the Junior Master Chef Competition 2012/3 Finals.
I will be travelling down to Thanet College on the 17th May to stay in a Hotel to take part in the final at Thanet College, Kent.
I will be cooking for three people with a budget of £25 within a three hour time period.
My menu consists of a Saddle of rabbit with a truffle and cider sauce, Garlic mash and sprouting broccoli; Chocolate and Hazelnut Fondant, Coffee macaroons, Mascarpone and Vanilla Ice Cream with a Raspberry Syrup.
Roger Phillips, of Thanet College, said that my menu stood out from all the rest and is very different and creative’
Annabel has been working with City College to perfect her dishes, changing her style of cooking and presentation to adapt to this competition’s high standard.
Good Luck, Annabel. We are confident that you will go on to be a celebrity!
