BT Disability Sports Festival

BT Disability Sports Festival

I woke very early at 6am on Tuesday 11th July I was very tired and very excited. We got the mini bus to take us to Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Seven children were picked from the Norwich City Academy to go to the BT Disability Sports Festival. This is a festival they run every year to celebrate children’s success in their football.

Lots of children from each Academy all over the country were there. About 20 teams. We played different sports. The first one was basketball and I didn’t like it. We also played volley football, indoor athletics, tennis, curling, and cricket.

I met Jake Humphries, he supports Norwich and he is a presenter for BT live sport. He played cricket with us and I took a selfie. I also got to hold the Olympic torch and got my photo with the Premier league cup. It was a brilliant day and I enjoyed it very much.
