ACE - Aylsham Co-operatve Enterprise
Many of the schools in the Aylsham Cluster made or grew things to sell at the Farmers Market in Aylsham on Saturday 6th March.
The pupils, together with their teachers, have been working with a professional Business Start up Adviser. Each school has been given start up funding as part of the Aylsham High School Enterprise Learning Hub.
The pupils were involved in the development of their product and what the profit would be spent on, although 10% must go back into ACE (Aylsham Co-operatve Enterprise) to provide a start up fund for the following years trading.
The project was built around the really important business values of co-operation, trust and partnership. In February the pupils all met together to explain their project and introduce their team members and to put the final preparations together for the Farmers Market. Older pupils at Aylsham High were on hand to offer their advice and support and will be acting as mentors in the future.
The project is part of the Governments vision, 5-19 & beyond enterprise skills
