Recreation ground car park closure 09-09-2024

We have been made aware of a closure to the Recreation ground car park on Sir Williams Lane, on Monday 9th September 2024, to allow for car park repairs and white lining. This was due to be carried out during the school holidays but unfortunately was delayed.

Access to and from Burgh Road and Sir Williams Lane will not be possible for safety reasons. The car park will be locked at 9pm on Sunday 8th September and will not reopen until 7.30am on Tuesday (09/09/24) to allow the white lining to cure.

There will be Heras fencing to barrier off the whole area therefore student may need to allow a little more time in order to take an alternative route. Access to the Burgh Road car park will be unaffected as is the main field. The gates at the bottom end onto Sir Williams way will also remain open along with the gate to burgh road.
