French Adventure in Normandy 🇫🇷

Enjoy an unforgettable week in Normandy, France, with your friends while immersing yourself in the French language and culture—all in a stunning seaside setting!

🏰 Where you’ll stay:
The magnificent Château de la Baudonnière, a beautiful venue with a wide range of outdoor activities and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Both Mrs Green and Mr Ravasse have led trips here before, and students always return with amazing memories!

🎯 What you’ll do:

  • Take part in fun activities at the château, including archery, watersports, and assault courses

  • Explore Normandy’s highlights and attractions, practising your French in real-life situations

  • Enjoy lively evening entertainment, such as a talent show and a “soirée française” (with prizes for the best French-themed costumes!)

🍽️ Food:
You’ll eat freshly prepared French meals every day and have the chance to taste some delicious “spécialités de la région.”

🚌 Travel details:

  • Depart early Monday morning by coach and ferry from Portsmouth to Caen

  • Return on Friday evening

  • A valid passport is required

Activities Week 2026 – Normandy, France – 13 July to 17 July 2026

Please be reminded that the balance will need to be paid by Monday 16 March 2026.  If you need any assistance with ParentPay, please do not hesitate to contact the finance team on ext. 153/107 or via email finance@aylshamhigh.norfolk.sch.uk.

On the day you travel, you’ll need your child’s passport to both:

  • have at least 6 months left
  • be less than 10 years old (even if it has 6 months or more left)

If you do not renew it, you may not be able to travel to France. (It usually takes a significant number of weeks if you need to renew your passport). Please note that if you need to do this we would strongly suggest you do this now, parents/guardians must ensure that their child has the necessary valid travel documents in good time for departure.
