Advantage Rugby Academy

Currently in Norfolk, the only additional midweek training is for those club and school players who are selected for Leicester’s Junior Academy at U15.  A large majority of players who are selected for the academy, are often from an independent school.  The players who miss out on selection, have the ability to excel, however are often at a disadvantage due to the lack of coaching time they receive.

We are really excited to be able to offer the opportunity for midweek coaching for players who receive limited training at their schools, empowering them with the skills and tactical awareness needed to excel in the game of rugby.  Here at Advantage Rugby Academy, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality training program that focuses on mastering fundamental core skills.  Our experienced coaches and specialised curriculum aim to develop players to levels where they can confidently influence the play.

Advantage Rugby Academy will support players in their development by providing extra opportunities for players to develop out of their own club and school programmes.  We are really excited to have the support of Leicester Tigers and the aim of Advantage Rugby Academy is to prepare players for Leicester Tigers Junior Academy selection. .

What we offer:

  • All weather, floodlit 3G pitch at Aylsham Sports Hub
  • Supported by Norfolk RFU, Norfolk Schools Rugby and Norfolk Clubs
  • Talent identification with the potential for private school scholarships
  • Preparation for Leicester Tigers Junior Academy assessment and selection
  • Guest coaches from Directors of Ruby at local clubs and independent schools
  • Introduction to College Rugby future education

We can accommodate all ages.

We encourage non-contact and lots of passing.

Totally mixed ability... mixed teams, ideal score even!!

Good for fitness and sociable mixing without the pressure of higher level football

Mondays 8pm – 9pm

This bespoke version of ‘the beautiful game’ is open to all - regardless of age, gender or ability.  It provides an opportunity to return to playing, or even to play for the first time.

Sessions comprise small-sided matches played on a 3G pitch.  The core objective is to ensure that games are conducted with full consideration for the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

Cost: £3 per session.

Provided by Erpingham Leisure Hub - a community organisation formed in 2015 with the aim of promoting sport and leisure activities for everyone.

Our evening Walking Football sessions began at Erpingham’s Multi-Use Games Area, but quickly outgrew the venue - hence we now enjoy the facilities at Aylsham Sports Hub.

Norfolk Hoopstars Basketball

Norfolk Hoopstars, our priority is to provide children with the opportunity to play basketball in an environment where they can focus on skill development, learn the game, and, most importantly, have FUN!

Our community hubs aim to offer grassroots opportunities for players to explore and enhance their skills with the support of our dedicated coaches. Our Aylsham sessions take place at Aylsham High School every Monday and Friday.   Additionally, we have a good link with Aylsham High School, where many of our older players attend.

All players after attending two sessions with Hoopstars receive a FREE basketball for them to keep, to help practice their skills at home with and then bring to each session.

Our love for the game has been flourishing since our humble beginnings in 1975. We’re not just a club; we’re a family that takes pride in creating a warm and inviting environment for everyone.

We are an England Football 3 Star Accredited Club.

In 2007, we were honoured with the FA Charter Standard, and the accolades have been rolling in ever since. In 2014, we were named Norfolk FA Charter Standard Club of the Year, followed by earning the FA Community Charter Standard in 2017. The recognition continued in 2018 when we were once again crowned Norfolk FA Charter Standard Club of the Year. It’s not about the trophies for us, but the joy of playing the beautiful game with heart and spirit.

For the 2023-24 season, our club is buzzing with excitement. From the little ones in the Under 5’s to the seasoned Veterans & Walking squads, we have a place for everyone. Join our walking football teams, adult men’s and women’s teams, mixed youth, and girls-only youth squads.

Our teams find their stride in various leagues, including the Norfolk Combined Youth Football League, Central & South Norfolk League, Norwich & District Sunday League, Norfolk Women and Girls Football League, Norfolk FA Women’s Legacy League, and the One Broker Veterans League. It’s not just about the matches; it’s about the shared passion for the game and the friendships forged on the field.

At Horsford Football Club, we believe in nurturing not just talent but also our dedicated coaches. With 11 coaches currently pursuing or having completed the Level 2/UEFA C course and 3 coaches proudly holding the UEFA B course certification, our commitment to coach education runs deep.
