Litter picking

Our Eco team are dedicated to keeping our school site litter-free. We have a rota in place where the students work in pairs collecting litter during their lunch times. Students are rewarded with a £1 credit onto their school food account for each litter pick they carry out. We have noticed a big difference in the amount of litter we see around school, which is fantastic.

Recycling

Our main focus for 26/27 is to review and improve our schools recycling system. We will be working with South Norfolk and Broadland council to conduct an audit and action plan to improve our current efforts. Watch this space!

Eco- School Status

Behind the scenes we are enrolled on the Eco Schools pathway with the ambition to achieving Eco School Status by August 2027. The Eco-Schools programme provides a simple, seven-step framework which helps to make a big difference in schools, local community and beyond. Applying for Eco-Schools accreditation is the perfect way to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the ecological achievements of young people. It clearly demonstrates that their hard work is appreciated, and it provides them with the confidence and motivation needed to continue actively engaging with environmental issues throughout their lifetimes.
